Advice for Road Runners: Pushing the boundaries of running shoe technology, the Nike Women’s Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT% Flyknit 2 Running Shoes in the Total Orange/Black/Bright Crimson/Ghost Green colourway have had key updates and offer the ultimate protection and performance from a running shoe. 

Underfoot Feel

The full length ZoomX midsole delivers maximum energy return and protection. It also works with dual forefoot Zoom Air units and a full-length carbon fibre Flyplate to maximise cushioning and propulsion.

A layer of ZoomX foam sits between the Zoom Air units and the outsole rubber to enhance and smooth transition. A 4mm increase in the differential between the heel and forefoot stack heights also improves the transition.

The widened heel and forefoot and the wrapping of the midsole foam up the sides of the shoe enhances stability. Strategically-placed perforated outsole rubber also offers durability and traction without adding excess weight.

Upper Fit

The sock-like Atomknit v2 upper provides targeted support without additional webbing. Padded Lofted Knit also reduces lace pressure across the top of the foot. Heel pods are also stitched into the heel counter to secure the foot comfortably.

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone’s feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb’s width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).

This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
